Professor Zheng Peikai was born in Qingdao and moved to Taiwan with his parents in 1949. He graduated from Taiwan University with a degree in Foreign language. He has a PhD in history from Yale University and a postdoctoral fellow at the Fairbank Research Center of Harvard University. He has taught at the State University of New York, Yale University, Pace University, Taiwan University, Hsinchu Tsinghua University and other universities. In 1998, he founded the China Cultural Center at the City University of Hong Kong and served as the director of the center to promote diverse and interactive Chinese culture and general education. The promotion of Chinese culture teaching, combining Hong Kong's local historical and cultural heritage with non-genetic heritage, to enhance the cultural identity of Hong Kong people has played an important role.

Honor:

Professor Cheng has served as Chairman of the Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee, President of the United Hong Kong Foundation Chinese Society, President of the Hong Kong Collection of Ancient Society, Chairman of the Hong Kong Branch of the Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association, Visiting Professor of Zhejiang University, Special Chair Professor of Fengjia University in Taiwan, Expert Consultant of the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department, member of the Hong Kong and Taiwan Cultural Cooperation Committee, and the Institute of Literature and History of Fudan University Member of academic committee, etc. He was awarded the Hong Kong Government Medal of Honour in 2016.

Professor Cheng is well liked by the cultural, academic and artistic sectors as well as the general public. • Served as director of the Institute of East Asian Garden Art and director of Liufang Garden (the largest Chinese garden in the world) at Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Garden in the United States.

• He is currently an Adjunct Research Fellow at the New Zealand Contemporary China Research Centre

Professor Duncan Campbell has made outstanding contributions in introducing China, translating and publishing Chinese literary works, and promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and won the 10th China Books Special Contribution Award in August 2016.

Professor Duncan Campbell translated many works by Yuan Hongdao, Yuan Zhongdao, Wang Siren, Zhang Dai, Zheng Yuanxun, Qi Biosjia, etc., and deeply studied the poems of famous ancient Chinese poets such as Du Fu and Bai Juyi. Professor Duncan Campbell paid great attention to Qian Zhongshu's works and translated and published Qian Zhongshu's Seven Collections. He also has a very in-depth study of Chinese garden culture and library, and has published several important books.
